Veterans Aid Benefits

Veterans benefits include any war veteran.

What is the Veterans Aid and Attendance Benefit?

The Veterans Aid and Attendance (A&A) benefit is an additional, tax-free monthly payment available to wartime veterans and their surviving spouses who need help with everyday activities like bathing, dressing, or eating—or who require long-term care in their home or a facility.

To be eligible, the veteran must have served at least 90 days of active duty, with at least one day during a wartime period. They must also meet income, asset, and medical requirements. The 2025 net worth limit is $155,356, including income and countable assets.
