Wills and Trusts

Simply put, Wills and Trusts are documents that spell out exactly who will make important decisions for you in the future. Laws do not protect your family, wishes, or finances in the event of an unforeseen tragedy.

At Simasko Law, we are well versed in all aspects of this area of the law. Consider the following:

  • A Living Will tells doctors and family members your wishes about care should you become incapacitated.
  • A Will spells out where your assets will go upon death.
  • A Living Revocable Trust is when you designate someone to make decisions should you become extremely ill.

Without question, we urge you to draft a Will and Trust with a trusted legal advisor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. If you do not, the state will designate where your assets are going if you do not decide for yourself in advance. That covers everything from who gets your 401K to who gets your dog!
